Symposium on Energy and Other Sustainability Challenges

 The Association of Marshall Scholars and Caltech's Provost's Office are presenting a symposium called "Energy and Other Sustainability Challenges" from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, in Ramo Auditorium. The event will feature keynote speaker Steven Koonin, the former Caltech provost who now serves as the under-secretary for science in the U.S. Department of Energy.
James Langer, a Marshall Scholar and research professor of physics at UC Santa Barbara, will serve as moderator. Panelists will include Caltech's Harry Atwater, the Howard Hughes Professor and professor of applied physics and materials science, and Paul Dimotakis, the John K. Northrop Professor Aeronautics and professor of applied physics, as well as Idealab's William Gross, Stanford's Seema Jayachandran, and Mary Nichols of the the California Air Resources Board.
